Meet Angus

We are excited to introduce you to Angus, the guide dog puppy that has been named by READ Cased Hole!

This adorable pup was born on 3rd October 2019 to mum Grace and dad Harris, both golden retrievers, and has just been placed with his Puppy Walker who will start to teach him the skills he’ll need as a future guide dog.

We had the honour of naming Angus as part of Guide Dogs’ Name a Puppy scheme. Following 18 months of fundraising by everyone at READ – involving walking, cycling and running events, bake sales and car washes to name just a few – we were delighted to present a cheque for £3327.75 to the charity earlier this year to support its life-changing work.

When someone in the UK loses their sight, Guide Dogs is there to make sure they don’t loose their freedom as well. The charity is currently responsible for around 8000 dogs which help provide independence for people who are blind or partially sighted. Visit the Guide Dogs website
