- How did you get started in your career, and what led you to your current role?
I began my career 10 years ago, fresh out of college, when I joined Halliburton as a maintenance technician. From day one, I realised I thrived in hands-on roles. What brought me to my current position was the opportunity to learn innovative ways to improve my craft and grow as a field engineer.
- What’s the most rewarding part of your job?
For me, nothing beats the satisfaction of a happy client at the end of every job. Building strong relationships with customers is a key part of what I do, and I take pride in ensuring every interaction is as positive and productive as possible.
- What’s a recent accomplishment, either at work or personally, that you’re proud of?
One personal milestone I’m especially proud of is earning my first grade ranking in Kendo, anancient Japanese martial art. It’s a discipline that demands focus, resilience, and perseverance, which are qualities I strive to bring to my professional life as well.
- What’s a professional goal you’re currently working towards?
I’m focusing on becoming a go-to reference for technical support within my team and the wider organisation. My aim is to help others excel in their roles and reach their goals.
- If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Without a doubt, I’d travel to Mexico. Why? It’s Home!!
- Do you have a favourite motivational quote or mantra you live by?
“In the confrontation between the stream and the rock, the stream always wins not through strength but by perseverance.” This quote reminds me keep going and never give up.
What’s a fun fact or hidden talent that most people don’t know about you?
Here’s a fun one: I’m a really good singer! While I usually keep it under wraps, I’ve been known to belt out a tune or two in my free time. My favourite song to sing? That’s tough, but would have to be “To the moon and back” by Savage Garden.
